We really appreciate everyone's enthusiasm but how do you tell someone that there is technically only one bedroom, because only one of the bedrooms listed (of the three) actually has a closet. Or that the bathroom is actually only a 3/4 bathroom because there isn't any shower, because the previous owner was an older lady who appreciated a good-long bath. Or that the house is considered a cape cod, but you resent that statement, because truly, you can stand up in the entire upstairs and the roof line doesn't really effect the ceiling height.
Usually, people don't stand around listening to you explain this overly detailed list full of run-on sentences. They just want to know what it's like and truth be told, I fall into that category myself. I always want to know the details. I'm nosy. The dirty deets. The 411. The ins and outs. I like knowing people's biz-niss. Ok...wow...moving on.
But we care! It's our little house and we are bursting at the seems to tell everyone about it! So here is the run down. Will you bare with me? Trust me, I think you will like it...
Our house has three bedrooms (one downstairs and two upstairs) and one bathroom. We also have a kitchen, dining room, living room, and cute little sun porch. There is a detached garage and a huge backyard. Also, to further complete the whole cute-little-house-with-white-picket-fence motif, there is actually a white picket fence that borders one side of the yard! Plus, as if God was telling me that this place is meant to be ours, there is already a laundry line installed. I know what you are thinking, yes I could install it myself, but trust me. This. was. a. sign. :)
And because that doesn't really give you a great visual of the place, I thought I would take it a step further. Thanks to this free website, I also drew up a mock (not exactly to scale) floor plan.
The top of the picture is the back of the house and the little gray bump-out with stairs is the entryway. You go up the stairs on the right, to our kitchen or down the stairs on the left, to the basement. The room on the left hand side that isn't labeled, is the sun room. And just in case you were wondering, the two gold rectangles in the middle of the picture are radiators. We have more of them, I just added a few in for effect.
We have decided that we are going to play around with the layout a bit, in the future. But for now this is what it looks like, sans furniture. Come back tomorrow and I will give you a visual rundown of each room as it is now. Trust me, lots of pictures are coming your way!
